Wesleyan contemplative order: Informational Gathering

March 29, 2014 10am to 1:30pm / No Charge.

With its beginnings in 2010, the WCO took root and became an outgrowth of the spiritual formation ministry of Davidson United Methodist Church as a non-denominational ministry that helps foster spiritual growth through using contemplative practices in community as exemplified in John Wesley's Means of Grace. If you are drawn to investigate, please join us to learn more (with NO obligation). Our day together will include testimonies about the WCO, a light lunch, and an opportunity to meet the leadership to discern if participation in the WCO is something you would like to pursue. To learn more, please visit our website: To register or for questions, please contact Rev. Dianne Lawhorn at or 704-576-1476.

Spiritual Formation & The Enneagram

April 10, 2014 / Understand the gifts of your type, break down your false self story, and transform.

9:30am to 5:00pm

Led by Don Carroll, Master Enneagram Retreat Leader

Goals of the day are 1) to use the Enneagram to understand the gifts of our type and the place of integrity in our essence where we are most able to be open to the experience of God in the present moment in our life; 2) to use the enneagram to begin to break down the false self story by which we have each lived our lives, so that we can discern God's will day to day in our lives; and thereby, 3) transform our false self stories so that our little stories are no longer barriers or a wall of expectations and assumptions between us and God.
